I've spent countless afternoons perfecting the art of shredding the couch (to my house staff's despair), but ever since they introduced this scratch pad, my claw-happy tendencies have found a new, glorious battleground. The rough, fibrous texture of the mat is pure heaven under my paws--no more fighting the smoothness of that pesky upholstery, or risking the staff going for the dreaded spray bottle. My staff think this mat is a "win-win" because it saves the sofa; but I love it as it keeps these death bringers sharp af. Five claws up!
We got the orange cat scratching pad, which looks like my cat! I placed this next to my kitchen's sliding glass door because he scratches the door frame. He has stopped scratching the door frame and is now using the pad! I worried about the Velcro but it's holding up great! We have had it up for over a week and there is no sign of it coming down. For my own sense of security, I do run my hand around the edges every once in a while. The colors match my kitchen and it's a cute picture. So it's not an eye sore like my poor door frame! Happy cat mom and happy cat! WIN WIN!
