Nana, the founder of Soldaypet.com, had a black cat named Rule as her first pet. Rule is a playful and energetic cat, yet a little mysterious—usually napping in her cat bed, but sometimes heading out on adventures with a leash or carrier bag. Her favorite thing is stretch and scratch.

BLACK CAT RULE STORY

In 2015, while studying in New York, Nana volunteered with a cat rescue group. Rule was one of several kittens left behind by a severely injured calico cat. Her siblings were quickly adopted, leaving only Rule, a poor black cat.

This tiny, fragile cat reminded Nana of herself: a young woman alone in a foreign country, still struggling to study. Many people said black cats bring bad luck, but Nana followed her heart and brought home the little “void.”

Balancing school and a part-time job wasn’t easy. Even on a tight budget, Nana did everything she could to give Rule the best life—feeding following scientific research, creating a playful environment, and making sure Rule always had a safe, cozy place to rest in their small apartment.

Rule stayed by Nana’s side through one of her darkest periods. In the slow moments they shared, Nana slowly found her way back to happiness.

STORY BEHIND THE SOLDAYPET

Love always makes us wish we had done more. Nana would sometimes think: during Rule’s most lively, sparkling years, how wonderful it would have been if she could have given the pet products that were smarter, more stylish, and truly made for her. That small wish became the seed of Soldaypet. A brand born from a simple idea: helping pets and their humans find warm moments of shared happiness in everyday life.
